Today our girls were visited by an incredible young woman, Stephania Dottin. She took time out of her busy schedule to speak about her experiences growing up in Haiti and then moving to the United States and ultimately getting her Bachelors and Masters degrees from Drexel University, and becoming a board certified Nurse Practitioner.
Ms. Dottin practices in under-resourced communities within the Philadelphia area. She also leads a Nurse Practitioner fellowship program which supports the development of up and coming Nurse Practitioners, and serves as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Michigan School of Nursing!
Our students were fascinated by this presentation and had quite a variety of wonderful questions that Ms. Dottin patiently answered. She is truly a remarkable person, and an outstanding role model and example!
