STEM Lab...

Yesterday 4 Midshipmen from the US Naval Academy came to Sisters Academy for 4 weeks.  This is something that was started years ago, and we are so happy to see it continue!  The girls are in awe of the Mids, and they are happy to help in any way they can, as they did today.

Grades 4 & 5 had STEM Lab with Midshipman McGrath today.  She did several experiments with them and they were amazed... in one experiment they used a dropper to see how many drops of water would stay on a penny.  The didn't run off, as you would think would happen, but Mid McGrath explained why they could get as many as 23 drops of water to form a dome on the penny before it collapsed!  Wonderful stuff!!
